Early Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at 4:20 AM Mickey Shane Smith road off into the sunset. By his loving family in his final moments, he was a man of outlandish humor and wisdom, cherishing every moment spent with his loved ones. Shane was born January 24, 1977, to Tanya Whittenburg New and Mickey Smith in Winters, Texas. Shane married his best friend and the love of his life Beulah Reyes Smith on August 22, 1998. Shane loved his Harley Davidson, "Quinn", fishing, music, and spending time with his family. Even though a failing heart took him away from this world, his loving heart left an everlasting impression on those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Shane was preceded in death by his grandparents Van and Jimmie Whittenburg and Luther (Smitty) Smith, father-in-law Juan Reyes and nephew Christopher Johnson. He is survived by his wife, Beulah Smith of Wingate, his children Ashley Flores of Winters, Hannah Smith and life partner Andrew Sanchez of Ballinger, Vivian Smith and Max Smith, both of Wingate, parents Tanya New and Mickey Smith of Winters, mother-in-law Rachel Reyes of Wingate, and Tina Smith of Winters, his siblings Netasha Wilson and life partner Ruben Hernandez Jr. of Winters, and Cory Smith of Mineral Wells. His grandchildren, Carter Sanchez, Dexter Sanchez, and unborn Sanchez baby all of Ballinger. Many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, and friends who were like family.
A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
