Mike Norton

Mike Norton, age 68, of Morganton, Georgia, passed away peacefully at his home on October 11, 2025. He was born on July 15, 1957, and lived a life marked by creativity, kindness, and a deep love for his family.
Mike was intelligent and mechanically inclined, always able to build, repair, or improve just about anything. He also had an artistic side, owning a flower shop for many years where he became known as a talented floral designer. His arrangements brought beauty and comfort to countless families and celebrations throughout the years.
He had a lifelong passion for horses and cars, and a special bond with the animals he cared for. Those who knew Mike will remember his caring heart, willingness to help anyone in need, and easygoing nature that made everyone feel loved and appreciated.
He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and the many lives he touched through his kindness and creativity.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Norton. His mother, Jacquelyn Howell Norton passed seven days after him.
Mike is survived by his brother, Tim Norton (Julie), his nephew, Justin Norton (Danielle); great-nephew, Kadin Norton; great-great nephew, Dallas Norton; as well as beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at Conns Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Kenny Sutton officiating. The family will receive friends at Sosebee Funeral Home on Monday, October 20th from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
