Michael Warren Watson, the youngest child of Warren and Willa Watson, was born on the 20th of August, 1954, in Springfield, Missouri, and went home to be with our Lord Jesus on Friday, the 4th of October, 2024, at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.
Mike graduated from Fordland High School with the class of 1972. Mike married his high school sweetheart, Angela Marie Wright, on the 18th of October, 1974. Two children were born to this union, Kevin and Melissa.
Mike followed in his father’s footsteps and became a member of the Local Union, 453 IBEW, where he learned his trade as an electrician. After 27 years, he retired as a journeyman electrician in July of 2005.
Mike’s hobbies included playing music, fishing, and golfing. He was a proud man who loved God and his country, but what he enjoyed most was spending time with the people he loved and making them laugh. Mike was a devoted father, husband, brother, son, grandfather, and friend to anyone who needed help. He was loved by them all and will be greatly missed.
Mike was preceded in death by his father, Warren Watson, his mother, Willa (Hennigh) Watson, his brother, Jimmy Watson and his wife, Sue, and his grandson, Alex, son of Scott and Melissa Kleier.
Mike is survived by his wife of 50 years, Angie Watson, his son, Kevin Watson and his wife, Meredith, his daughter, Melissa Kleier and her husband, Scott, two grandchildren, Miranda and Matthew Payne, two sisters, Vicky Woolery and Deanne Ferguson and her husband, Dick, and numerous other family and friends who will miss him.
Memorial contributions may be made to Green Hill Cemetery in care of the funeral home.
Mike will be laid to rest at Green Hill Cemetery, Fordland, Missouri.
