Mikeal Steven Lovelace
Mikeal (Mike) Steven Lovelace, age 53, passed away peacefully with family by his side. Mike passed, February 27, 2025 from an aggressive form of cancer that came suddenly and very unexpectedly.
A loving husband, father, brother, uncle, papa, and friend. Mike's warmth and kindness touched the lives of all who knew him. Mike was the youngest of 7 children born on April 4, 1971 in Guthrie, OK to Jay and Eva Lovelace. He grew up in Crescent, OK. where he graduated from Crescent High School. Mike worked tirelessly in many fields including the oilfield, construction until finding his passion at Acme brick in Oklahoma City where he worked for nearly 10 years many of which served as supervisor. Mike's caring nature, kindness, hard work ethic, and dedication to others truly set him apart.
Mike was married Karen Solleder Lovelace on July 8, 2006 until her death from lung cancer in 2017. He was blessed again with love and married Michelle on August 7, 2021.
Mike loved watching OU football, and Thunder basketball, attending games any chance he could. He and Michelle enjoyed finding treasures at estate sales. He loved nature and the outdoors. His calm and patient demeanor brought a new friend in "Rocky Road" the squirrel who could often be found climbing on Mike's shoulders or eating nuts and treats from his hand.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Jay and Eva Lovelace; his sister, Trisha Lovelace Berryhill; two brothers, Max Lovelace and Marty Lovelace; and wife Karen Solleder Lovelace.
He is survived by his best friend and beloved wife Michelle Lovelace of the home, daughter Dakota Lovelace, granddaughters Ava Lynn and Alivia of Tahlequah, OK; daughter Abbi, husband Kyle Prosser and granddaughter, Maylin Marie of Foster, OK; son Andy Sitton, Tulsa, OK; sister Terry Lovelace OKC, OK.; sister Kim and husband Kevin Davis OKC, OK; sister, Tona and husband Mike McVicker Piedmont, OK; brother- in-law Jim Berryhill and wife Kathy of Sapulpa, OK, Sister- in-law Donna Lenochan, Edmond; sister- in-law Tonia and husband Mark Caruthers, Edmond,OK; a host of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Mike's family finds comfort knowing that his loving spirit will forever remain with them, as they hold on to the countless memories they shared. His warmth, laughter, and boundless kindness will never be forgotten. Mike's faith in the Lord and his grandchildren were his greatest joys.
A Celebration of Mike's Life will be held on Sunday, March 9th, 4pm at
