Milda Miller Smith
Milda Miller Smith, 62, of Walhalla, South Carolina, passed away peacefully at her residence on October 18, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on October 5, 1963, in Gainesville, Georgia, Milda was the daughter of the late Harvey Miller Sr. and Margaret Williams. She was married to the late Thomas Homer Smith.
Milda is survived by her sons, Thomas Hunter of Eastanollee, GA, and Jackson "JR" Smith of Walhalla, SC; daughters, Tasha Blackwell of Seneca, SC, and Semeca Smith Knight (John) of Westminster, SC; brothers, Donnie Maney of Cleveland, GA, John Collins of Cleveland, GA, and Shane Collins of Lincolnton, GA.
She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Alejandria Rebekah Knight, William Blake Blackwell, Tyra Cole Haddock (Blayze), Kiara Nichole Smith (Kaleb), Landon Carter Blackwell, and Aiden Carson Hunter; as well as her cherished great-grandchildren, Eliza Grace Knight and May Louise Haddock.
In addition to her husband and parents, Milda was preceded in death by her brothers, Harvey Miller Jr. and Larry Jarrard, and one precious grandchild, Elisabeth Victoria Knight.
Milda's life was marked by her love of family and simple joys. She enjoyed baseball, gardening, sewing, crocheting, and cooking, but her greatest joy was spending time with those she loved most, her family. Her kindness, creativity, and warmth will live on through the lives she touched.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at 3:30pm at the Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Walhalla, SC. The family will be at the residence.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Milda's memory to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, 950 W. Farris Road, Greenville, SC 29605. Condolences may be expressed online by visiting www.sandiferfuneralhome.com..
