she was born in Cooksburg, KY, daughter of Arch Allen and Cordelia Abney Allen .
Born May 8, 1922, in Cooksburg, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Arch and Cordelia (Abney) Allen.
She was married to the late Frank Gillum.
In 1948, she received her B.A. from Beres College, She went on to receive her Masters of Science at Purdue University in 1980. She also received a masters degree from the University of San Francisco.
Millie worked as a Extension Educator for Cooperative Extension Services -Purdue University for many years and as a High School teacher in San Francisco for 8 years.
Surviving her nephew, Wiliam "Bily" Singleton, Coatsville, Indiana and many other nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Gary Allen.
No services will be held. Arrangements have been entrusted to Fisher Funeral Chapel & Cremation Services.
