Mildred Anderson Obituary

BAXTER CHAPEL-Mildred Anderson, 88, a beloved member of the Silver Point community, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, Tennessee. Born on September 15, 1936, in Silver Point, TN, she was the daughter of the late Ewin and Edith Tucker Carr.

Mildred was a devoted wife to her husband of 59 years, Alfred Noel Anderson, who preceded her on January 7, 2014. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, David J. "Wink" Carr and James Edward "Joe" Carr. Mildred’s life was marked by her unwavering commitment to her family and her community, which she cherished deeply.

She is survived by her two sons, Jackie Anderson and Ricky "Speedy" Anderson, along with his wife Lisa, both of Silver Point. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Samantha (Darren) Birdwell, and her great-grandchildren, Jordan Lafever and Jase & Jake Birdwell. Additionally, she leaves behind a brother, Glenn (Jane) Carr of Silver Point and a host of nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart.

Mildred was passionate about her hobbies, which included sewing, baking, and making and decorating beautiful cakes that delighted her family and friends. Her talent in providing for her family extended beyond the kitchen; she also reveled in the beauty of flowers, nurturing her garden as much as she nurtured her loved ones.

A member of the Tucker Ridge Free Will Baptist Church, Mildred's faith played an integral role in her life, guiding her actions and relationships. She will be fondly remembered for her warm spirit and kind nature, leaving behind memories that will be treasured by all who knew her.

Graveside services and burial will take place on Friday, September 12, 2025, at Tucker Ridge Cemetery, located at 16200 Tucker Ridge Road, Silver Point, TN 38582. The service is scheduled to start at 1:00 PM, with the burial to follow at the same location. Bro. Tony Crow will officiate. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Everyone will meet at the cemetery.

Mildred Anderson's life serves as a testament to love, commitment, and the beauty of family, and while she will be profoundly missed, her spirit will remain in the hearts of those she touched throughout her remarkable journey.
