Mildred Jean Hart

Mildred Jean Hart, 82, of West Monroe, Louisiana passed away on Wednesday, November 25, 2025, at her residence in West Monroe with her loving family at her side.
Mildred was born on August 8, 1943, In Madison, Kansas to Audria McVay Swegle and Charles Swegle. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother who was a stay-at-home mom who took care of her family until she went to be with her LORD and SAVIOR. Mildred enjoyed listening to music, especially the old 1950's classics. She especially liked Elvis Presley and other great musicians that she loved to dance to. One of Mildred's favorite things to do before her final days was listening to Willies Roadhouse on TV. And finally, one of her greatest passions was riding horses especially with her favorite horse, Brandy, who she adored.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, Charles, and Audrey Swegle; her two brothers, Charles Swegle, and Bobbly Swegle; and finally, the love of her life, Jerry Delando Hart who just passed away this year on May 27, 2025.
Mildred is survived by her children, Rhonda Lakosky; son Brian Hart and his fiancée' Candy Taverne of West Monroe; four grandchildren, April Reid and her husband Kyle of West Monroe, Shelly Griffith and her husband Ronnie of West Monroe, Desiree Morris and her husband Dustin of Ville Platte, Louisiana and Lacey Hart of West Monroe; eleven great-grandchildren, McKinley Reid, Bailey Reid, Taylor Upshaw, Cody Richard, Thadeus Richard, Zoey Morris, Anna Morris, Tanner Morris, Lakely Hart, Logun Parker and Bella Aldridge; two great-great grandchildren, Lillie Donalson and Nova Schroeder. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews who loved her dearly; cousins and a host of friends and other family members who loved her dearly.
Visitation will be held Saturday from 12:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 2, 2025, until the time of the service at Griffin Funeral Home located at 911 Warren Drive, West Monroe, LA 71291.
Funeral services for Mildred Jean Hart will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 2, 2025, in the Chapel at Griffin Funeral Home with Bro. Gene Benson officiating. Interment will follow at Lapine Assembly of God under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Kyle Reid, Corey Donelson, Cody Richard, Thaddeus Richard, Lynn Antley, Richard Perot; Honorary Pallbearers Clint Morton, Dustin Morris.
