Mildred Lee Gillispie, age 84 of Dayton, Ohio passed away peacefully with her daughters by her side on April 10, 2025. She was born September 24, 1940 in Marion, Kentucky daughter of the late Bazil Brown and Ora Watson.

Mildred was a loving and devoted daughter, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was an avid animal lover, and had a passion for caring for all animals in need. She enjoyed gardening, working out in the yard, and spending time with her family. Mildred was a faithful woman who enjoyed attending church, singing, and listening to gospel music. She will be greatly missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.

In addition to her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by her son, Robert "Robby" Gillispie; father of her children, Bobby Gillispie; sister, Ruby Fryman; brother, Jim Brown; and her beloved cat, Felix.

She is survived by her daughters, Diania Gillispie and Regina Gillispie; as well as numerous other family members and friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday, April 18, 2025 from 1-2pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, Ohio 45424. A graveside service will follow at Dayton Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions can be made in Mildred's honor to Wright Rehabilitation Center in Fairborn, Ohio and Hospice of Dayton.

The family would like to send a special thank you to Soin Hospital, Cherish Hospice, Hospice of Dayton, and Wright Rehabilitation Center for all their love, support, and dedication that they have all shown during this difficult time to Mildred as well as her family.
