Funeral Services for Mrs. Mildred Delores Moore will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at 10:30 p.m. at Cathedral A. M. E. Zion Church, 428 W. Northside Drive, Jackson, Mississippi. Her Final Resting Place will be at Garden Memorial Cemetery, 8001 Highway 49 North, Jackson, Mississippi

Mrs. Mildred Delores Moore was born October 9, 1950, in Jackson, Mississippi, to Mr. Henry and Mrs. Emma Martin, both of whom preceded her in death. She entered eternal rest, surrounded by love, on September 25, 2025.

Mildred accepted Christ as her savior at an early age, later becoming a faithful member of Cathedral A.M.E Zion Church in Jackson, Mississippi. She earned an associate degree from Utica College in Utica, Mississippi, prior to gaining employment at Delphi Packard Electric in Clinton, Mississippi. She worked there as a highly regarded employee for 33 years in numerous capacities before her retirement. She later became a treasured team member at Walmart in Jackson, Mississippi, where she was employed for 16 years, until recently. Mildred enjoyed several pastimes throughout her life, but none were as fulfilling as traveling and simply spending quality time with her family, whom she loved dearly.

Mildred shared her life with her best friend and husband, Darryl Moore, for more than 38 years. He will cherish her memory, along with their four loving children and their spouses: Anthony Rainey (Sherry); Trina Moore; Dr. Daphne Taylor; and Darryl "Ron" Moore (Sharayne). Mildred is also survived by two devoted siblings and their spouses: Colonel Marion Martin (Judith) and Lafayette Martin (Marsha). She was preceded in death by a younger brother, Shelby Martin, and her only beloved sister, Lenora Bradley.

Mildred, affectionately referred to as "Grams" by her grandchildren, is bereaved by two granddaughters, Mackenzie and Cameron Rainey; and four grandsons, Avery and Keagan Taylor and Bentley and Banks Moore. All were her pride and joy.

Mildred's legacy and love of life will continue to live on through all who love her, including a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends she leaves behind.
