Mildred Peterson, 98, of Richland Center passed away August 26, 2022, at Pine Valley Community Village. She was born April 16, 1924, the daughter of Ralph and Carrie (Havlik) Emerson. She married John B. Peterson on June 16, 1949. She was preceded in death by her husband, son Jim, brothers Glen, Joe and Harold, grandson Brandon, and many loving Emerson and Peterson family members.
She is survived by her children, John (Linda) Peterson, Ron (Patty) Peterson and Connie (Fritz) Meyer. Grandchildren Jenny, Byron, Beth, Paul, Kelly, Andy, Brandi, Patrick, Laurel and Lindsay. 22 great grandchildren. Sister-in-laws Millie Rott, Sharon Peterson, Betty Emerson and Reba Emerson. As well as numerous other relatives and friends.
Mildred was an active farm wife and a proud teacher spanning over 25 years for the Richland School District. Later in life, she enjoyed attending her grandchildren's many school and sporting events, traveling to Wyoming, and their annual wagon train adventures.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Pine Valley Community Village staff for the excellent support and kind care they provided Mildred the past 13 years.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2022, at 11:00 AM at the Pratt Memorial Chapel with Pastor Tammy Clausen officiating. A private burial will be held in the Button Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be held at the Pratt Memorial Chapel on Saturday, September 3, 2022, from 9:00 AM until the time of funeral service at 11:00 AM. The Pratt Funeral Service is assisting the family with their arrangements. Online condolences can be made at prattfuneralservice.com.
