FORT WORTH - Milton Everett Nettles went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at the age of 80.
Visitation: 6 - 8 p.m. Thursday, June 13, 2024, at Greenwood Funeral Home in Memorial Suite B, 3344 White Settlement Rd., Fort Worth, Texas 76107.
Funeral: 12 p.m. Friday, June 14, 2024, in Live Oak Chapel at Greenwood; 3100 White Settlement Rd., Fort Worth, Texas 76107; followed by interment at Greenwood Memorial Park.
Milton was born on February 15, 1944, in Levelland, Texas to Freeman Everett Nettles and Clara Belle Parr Nettles. His family later moved to River Oaks, where he graduated from Castleberry High School in 1962. Milton was a Christian who accepted Jesus into his heart as a child.
Milton was known for being a hardworking man and giving his all in everything he did. He was a very private man, but loved visiting his family and friends. He also loved his wonderful neighbors Robert, Osvaldo, Robert and Petra Saldivar who always watched over him and took care of his lawn for him and he loved the wonderful folks at Heavens Gate who always made sure he ate good. They all treated him like family. Milton was a gun enthusiast and was known for loving westerns and sweets. He will truly be missed by all.
He is preceded in death by his parents Freeman and Clara Nettles; sister, Kathy (Nettles) Moon; brother, Ray Nettles; and nephew, Jerry Ray Nettles.
He is survived by his son, Richard Nettles, and grandson; niece, Rhonda Harkins; nephew, Reese Harkins; nephew, Randy Nettles; sister-in-law, Ann Nettles; great-nieces, Kristin Glab, Carlee Harkins, and Amber Gutierrez; great-nephews, Robby Bigby, and Justin Glab.
