Mina Collier Obituary
Mina R. Collier, 100, of Lizton, IN, went to be with Jesus on Friday, June 21, 2024.
Mina was born September 22, 1923, to the late Wayne & Wilma (Cloud) Ashley in Terre Haute, IN.
Mina married Wilmer “Bill” L Collier on February 9, 1950, and they went on to raise their 3 children in Greenfield, IN. Mina & Bill were married for 61 years. They enjoyed traveling the USA while camping.
Mina worked at Indiana Bell in Terre Haute as a switchboard operator. Later she worked at The Monogram Shop in Mt Comfort, IN.
Mina enjoyed sewing, knitting, gardening, working in the church library and playing dominoes, Kings in the Corner and Yahtzee. Mina was a longtime member of the Buzzin’ Cousins home economics club in Hancock County, IN.
Mina was preceded in death by her husband Bill and sister Dorthy Coleman.
Mina is survived by:
Children: Wayne (Nancy) Collier, Karen (Greg) Mauer, and Nancy (Chuck) Venis.
Grandchildren: Justin (Jen) Collier, Lindsey (Casey) Lissau, Kali (Aaron) Strahl, Stephen Griffith, Amanda Mauer (Matthew), Zachary (Rochelle) Mauer, Adam Venis, Alex (Laura) Venis.
Great Grandchildren: Conor Davis and Delaney Collier, Abby, Brady and Beau Lissau, Reagan and Charlotte Strahl, Zeke, Clementine and Olive Taflinger, Lucy and Wyatt Mauer, Owen and Stella Venis.
Sister: Wilma Jean Kelley.
Many nieces & nephews.
Mina was a wonderful wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and sister.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at Connection Pointe Christian Church, located at 1800 N. Green Street, Brownsburg, IN 46112,
Her celebration of life service will follow at 12:00 Noon. Pastor Jim Littlejohn will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions may be made to Connection Pointe Christian Church at 1800 N Green Street, Brownsburg, IN 46112.
Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East Funeral Center has charge of arrangements.
