Minnie Ellen Tonne, age 96, of Bastrop, Texas, passed away on Friday, February 21, 2025, in Bastrop. Ellen was born in Ganado, Texas, on October 7, 1928, to Martha and Samuel Haynes.
Ellen is preceded in death by her husband: James Tonne, Sr.; son: James Tonne, Jr.; parents: Martha Daniels Haynes and Samuel Haynes; son-in-law: Robert West, Jr.; daughter-in-law: Patsy Tonne; 6 sisters, and 1 brother.
Ellen is survived by her sons: Mark Tonne, and Jeffrey Tonne; daughters: Veronica Daniels, Katherine West, and Sharon Schueling; sister: Mary Francis Pardue; 8 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held at Hondo Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, beginning at 10:00 a.m., with a Funeral Service held at 11:00 a.m., followed by entombment at Hondo Cemetery.
Services are under the Direction of Hondo Funeral Home.
