Miranda Nicole Castro, beloved daughter, sister, and auntie, passed away at the age of 26 on March 25th, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and light. She brought joy to all who knew her and will be remembered for her quick wit, infectious laugh, and sass.
A funeral service for Miranda will be held on Tuesday, April 2nd at 12:00PM at Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home in Litchfield. Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to the service, starting at 10:00AM.
Miranda was born on June 16th, 1997 in Willmar, MN to Fidel and Tracy Castro. She attended Litchfield public schools and graduated in 2015. Miranda went on to attend Ridgewater College and South Central College where she was a member of Phi Theta Kappa honor society. Miranda dedicated herself to a career in dentistry, hoping to one day become a dentist and own her own practice. She was currently employed at CentraCare Dental Clinic in Willmar as a dental assistant. Her radiant smile and gentle care brightened the lives of her coworkers and patients. Particularly rewarding for Miranda was her involvement with the Give Kids a Smile program which provides free oral care to underserved children.
Beyond her professional life, Miranda had a passion for makeup, fashion, and shopping. Her great sense of style and ability to create the perfect look showcased her creativity and filled the world with color. She enjoyed life’s simple pleasures like drinking Dr. Pepper, listening to loud music, and collecting gnomes. She had a knack for candid advice. May her beaming smile and impeccably shaped eyebrows always remind us of the beauty she brought into our lives.
Miranda will be remembered for her kind heart, her vivacious spirit, and her unwavering dedication to those she loved. She is survived by her adoring parents Tracy and Fidel, her siblings Anthony, Joseph, and Michelle (Josue) Juarez, her special nieces Jaylene and Josette Juarez, her fiancé Cristhian Navarrette, her grandparents Raul and Gloria, her godparents, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Miranda was preceded in death by her grandma Debra Wendt, her great-grandparents William and Mary Wendt, her aunt Pamela Eichhorst, and her uncles William Eichhorst and William Wendt II.
Though her time with us was too brief, Miranda’s fierce and independent spirit will live on forever in our hearts. May she rest in peace knowing she is deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
