Monolee Morgan Obituary

Published by Legacy on Oct. 1, 2025.
Monolee M. Morgan, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on July 18, 2025, at the age of 83. Born on July 4, 1942, in Barberton, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late George and Betty Howell (née Pollak). Known affectionately as Monie by those close to her, she graduated from Barberton High School in 1960 and remained a lifelong resident of the Barberton-Norton area.
Monie was an active member of the Firestone Park Prime Timers and several other social groups over the years. She found joy in meeting new people, playing mahjong, going on bus trips, and enjoying lunches.
In 1984, Monie married the love of her life, Dennis Morgan. Inseparable for 40 years they would enjoy spending time with family and friends, flea markets, garage sales, and collecting unique items to repurpose or sell. Monie also loved dancing, hiking, nature, planting flowers, reading, and caring for the home she and Dennis built together.
Preceded in death by her parents; her father-and mother-in-law, Robert and Charlotte Morgan; her sister-in-law, Joy Morgan; and her beloved dog, Minnie.
Monie is survived by her devoted husband, Dennis R. Morgan of Norton; her daughter, Jackie (Gregg) Hall; children by marriage, Chris (Meredith) Morgan and Angie (John) Blouir; Grant (Katlyn) Stange, her sister, Joyce (Steve) Kelleman; and her seven grandchildren: Sarah, Ella, Alyssa, Wyatt, Kaela, Bryce, and Chloe and four great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
The family extends a heartfelt thank you to Hospice of Western Reserve for their compassionate care.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 30, 2025, at 4:00 pm. Firestone VFW Post 3383; 690 W. Waterloo Rd. Akron OH 44314
