Funeral service for Monroe Forbe, Jr of Big Bend will take place at the Bayou des Glaises Baptist Church on Thursday, February 23rd, 2023 beginning at 10:00am. Burial will take place at the Bayou des Glaises Baptist Church Cemetery.
Monroe Forbe, Jr. “The Legend”, age 84, passed away at his home in Big Bend surrounded by his loved ones on Monday, February 20th, 2023. He was a retired carpenter from Big Cajun Local Union 1098. He loved spending his time cooking, visiting with his family, and hunting,
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 63 years, Judy Juneau Farbe; children, Paula Lemoine (Randy) of Big Bend, Abigail Farbe of Mississippi, Greta Hebert (Monroe) of Bordelonville, and Rachel Rachal (Chad) of Bordelonville; sister, Druella Dauzat of Simmesport. He is also survived by his 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Those honored to serve as pallbearers are: Chad Rachal, Rachel Rachal, Taylor Rachal, Cory Lemoine, Brandon Hebert, and Trevor Guillot.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Monroe Sr. and Mae Mayeaux Farbe; sister, Laura Heatherwick; his 3 infant children, Greta, Pauline, and Roger Dale; and his grandchild, Taylor Carnes.
Visitation will begin at 3:00pm on Wednesday, February 22nd, 2023 at the Bayou des Glaises Baptist Church and will continue until the time of service on Thursday.
