Funeral Mass for Kevin Michael Laborde of Long Bridge will begin at 11:00am on Monday, June 23, 2025, at St. Mary’s Assumption Catholic Church in Cottonport. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s #2 Cemetery.
Kevin M. Laborde, age 25, passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, in Sainte Genevieve, Missouri. Kevin worked so hard and enjoyed his life on the tugboat. He loved his family dearly, enjoyed family gatherings, and always made the effort to see family when he was home from work. With a heart of gold and being unselfish, he was always willing to help others in the midst of his own challenges. He will forever be missed and holds a special place in our hearts. Definitely gone but not forgotten! Rest high, my son, your work on Earth is complete.
Those left to cherish his memory are his parents, Chris Laborde and Vanessa Laborde; his sister, Trisha Laborde; maternal grandfather, Daniel Slocum, Jr., and maternal grandmother, Gale Lemoine; paternal grandparents, Paul and Ellen Laborde; his girlfriend, Julien Richard; his aunts and uncles: godmother, Kimberly Bordelon, Daniel Slocum, III, Laura Laborde, and Jennifer Harris; godfather, Michael Harris; and numerous cousins and friends.
Those honored to service as pallbearers: Kyle Daigrepont, Wesley Butler, Allen Robinson, Hunter Garrot, Michael Harris, and Jacob Harris; honorary pallbearer: Jayce Daigrepont.
Visitation will begin at 5:00pm until 10:00pm on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at Escude Funeral Home in Cottonport with rosary prayer service at 7:00pm. Visitation will resume at 8:00am until 10:45am on Monday, June 23, 2025, at Escude Funeral Home in Cottonport.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Escude Funeral Home (318-964-2324) 552 Front St. Cottonport, LA 71327.
