Monty Lee Paggeot, 86, was born in Muskegon, Michigan on January 31, 1939. He went home to be with the Lord our Father on Friday, May 16, 2025. Monty is preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years, Phyllis Paggeot; his son, Lee James Paggeot; his son-in-law, Robert Mayne; his sister Pat Bulson; his brother, Dee Paggeot; and his brother and sister-in-law, Joan and Sidney Langson.
Monty is survived by his daughter, Terri Mayne; his son, Monty Allen (Lyndia) Paggeot, daughter-in-law Lisa Paggeot; grandchildren Robert "TT" (Shelly), Joshua, Rachel (Matt), Joseph (Samantha), Monty Jr. (Shannon), Ashley (Jimmy), and many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
On February 10, 1956, at the tender age of 17, Monty joined the United States Air Force and faithfully served his country for 20 years. After retiring in 1976, he then went on to become an instructor at Keesler Air Force Base for 10 years. In recognition of his outstanding performance, Mr. Paggeot received numerous awards, including the Sustained Superior Performance Award for each year. Monty was a longtime member of Our Lady of Fatima Church. He was a fourth degree of the Knights of Columbus member who happily gave his time to help maintain Fatima Church and grounds, St. Vincent De Paul's, and spent endless hours assisting on the festivals.
The family would like to extend an invitation to Monty's visitation on May 27, 2025 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church from 10:00am - 11:00am with mass immediately following at 11:00am. Interment will be held at the Biloxi National Cemetery at 12:30pm with Air Force honors. A repast will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Church in the Parish Hall at 1 p.m.
