Morey H. Gladden

Morey H. Gladden, 93, of Mooresville (Hendricks County), passed away October 18, 2024.  He was born July 7, 1931 to the late Harry and Edna (Ennis) Gladden in Plainfield, IN.  He lived all of his life in Hendricks County.  He graduated from Plainfield High School, class of 1949.  He was active in 4-H club and Future Farmers of America.  He was a member of Plainfield Friends Meeting.  He served in the US Army during the Korean War.  He worked for Allison Division of General Motors for 42 years as a skilled tradesman retiring in 1993.  Morey loved farming and fishing trips to Canada with his brothers.  In 1953 he married Mary Anne Schutte, and was married for over 70 years.  Morey is survived by his wife, Mary Anne; 3 children, Morey R. (Cindy) Gladden, Marian (Jay) Ellis, and Tim (Amy) Gladden; 6 grandchildren, Jeremy and Joshua Ellis, Dustin, Zachary and Hannah Gladden, and Amy Nephew; 7 great grandchildren; and a brother, Frank Gladden.  Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm  on Friday, October 25, 2024 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call on Friday from 11:00 am until service time at 1:00 pm.  Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Plainfield Friends Meeting or the donor's favorite charity.
