Morgan Laine Swindell, 33, passed away on October 7, 2024, in Melbourne, Florida. She was born on August 12, 1991, in Joplin, Missouri to Ernie Downs and Shellie Swindell.
Though her time with us was cut short, Morgan's legacy is one of love, resilience, and the joy of living each day to the fullest.
Morgan's professional life as a surgery tech was marked by her dedication and skill, which earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues. Beyond her professional achievements, Morgan was known for her passion for modeling and her commitment to health and fitness. Her daily trips to the beach were a testament to her love for the ocean and the tranquility it brought to her soul. Above all, Morgan was a devoted mother, whose nurturing presence and unwavering support for her daughter, Sophia Knowles, defined her as a truly great mother.
Along with her parents and daughter, she is survived by her step-mother Chrystal Downs; siblings Kalin Swindell, Joseph Downs, Alex Goodpasture, and Erin Downs; grandmother Dora Johnson and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her son Gavin Knowles; her grandmother Sandy Wilson; her aunt Kathleen Skahan and her uncle Jim Downs.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
