Morton F. Tarbox, Jr., of Spruce Head, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at the home of his son and daughter-in-law at the age of 90 on August 5, 2025.

Morton was predeceased by his wife Marion in 1995.

Morton is survived by his son Brian and daughter-in-law Katie Tarbox of Spruce Head; grandson Samuel Tarbox (Abbey) of Spruce Head, grandson Eric Caswell (Samantha) of Wayne, Maine, granddaughter Sarah Ortiz (Marco) of Twentynine Palms, California, granddaughter Jordan Caswell of Union; daughter Linda and son-in-law Scott Carter of Warren, Maine, granddaughter Amy Beckett (Shawn) of Thomaston, Maine, granddaughter Lisa Collins (Will) of Waldoboro, Maine, grandson Michael Carter (Taylor) of Waldoboro, Maine; brother Timothy Tarbox (Louise) of Coventry, Rhode Island; sister Sandra Petrarca (Charles) of Exeter, Rhode Island; 13 great grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins; special friend Helga Manning of Spruce head and Lizzie Torrey of Hingham, Massachusetts and Spruce Head. He is also survived by his cat Mackie.

Mort spent the last few months in the care of his daughter-in-law Katie Tarbox and would like to thank her for all she has done for him over the years.

Per Mort's wishes there will be a private gathering at the family's convenience.
