Mrs. Michel Ann O'Donnell Mathison, age 63, of Thomaston, died Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital.
Mrs. Mathison was born in Hunstanton, England on December 28, 1961, the daughter of the late John Michael O'Donnell and the late Sarah Gabriel Flood O'Donnell. Growing up in a military family, she experienced various places, cultures and countries. She had many fond memories of her family while growing up in England. She was employed in human resources in the hotel industry until she became a homemaker and a teacher for her children. She enjoyed cooking, baking, bread making, and was the Co-op facilitator for BreadBeckers. An avid music lover, she enjoyed playing the guitar and singing. She was very involved with ministry, leading prayer groups and bible studies. She loved the ocean, learning new things and loved being with her family and friends. Her family, immediate and extended, meant the world to her.
Mrs. Mathison is survived by her loving husband, Todd J. Mathison of Thomaston; her daughter, McKenzie (Stephen Hammock) Mathison of Thomaston; her son, Derek (Hannah Clemons) Mathison, of Thomaston; her step son, Austin Mathison of Las Vegas, Nevada; her step grandchildren, Elias Mathison and Maddox Mathison of Las Vegas, and her daughter-in-law, Morgan Taylor.
Funeral services for Mrs. Mathison will be held on Thursday, September 18, at 2:00 PM, in the chapel of Fletcher-Day Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service at South View Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM, on Thursday at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home.
