Ms. Elouise Perry, 78, of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, peacefully passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on December 9, 1946, in Gaston, North Carolina, Elouise was the cherished daughter of Wallace Ruffin and Leomie Harris, and was lovingly raised by James (Tootsie) and Mary Lashley. She dedicated her life to her family and to her faith, living each day with love, strength, and devotion.
Elouise was a woman of deep conviction who remained faithful to Jehovah throughout her life. She instilled in her children the values of faith, kindness, and perseverance, always reminding them to keep God's Word close to their hearts. She was known for her warm, social nature, her love for all of Jehovah's creations, and her ability to make the simple things beautiful with her creative hands.
She is survived by her children: Mary Hunt, Angela Veal, Pamela Alston, and Edward Hunt; her sister: Shirley Ruffin; her brother: James Lashley; her grandchildren: Amber Person, Justin Alston, Joshua Veal, Righteous Hunt, Serenity Hunt, Wysdom Hunt, Gemini Trollinger, Legacy Hunt, and Legend Hunt; along with a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
The family wishes to thank her brothers and sisters from the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses for their love and compassion, Gentiva Hospice for their tender care during her final days, and H.D. Pope Funeral Home for their commitment to a beautiful celebration of her life.
Elouise's life was a testimony of love and faith, and her legacy will live on in all who were blessed to know her.
A graveside service for Ms. Elouise Perry will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025, beginning at 10:00 AM at Crestview Memorial Cemetery, located at 489 Smith Church Road, Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina 27870.
The caring and compassionate team at H D Pope Funeral Home, located at 520 Smith Church Road, Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, is dedicated to providing support during this difficult time.
