LANCASTER, SC ~ Myra Hagins Marshall, 86, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on October 16, 2025.

Myra was the daughter of Oscar E. Hagins and Mary Nancy Hagins. She was preceded in death by her husband, William F. Marshall.

Myra attended Winthrop College where she received a Bachelors and Masters degree in education. She spent 30 years as a devoted elementary teacher for Lancaster County Schools. After retiring, she and William enjoyed traveling with friends and family to many destinations and loved spending time at their camper at the beach. After William's passing, she found love and support at weekday lunches with a cherished group of friends from the Elgin community and weekend lunches with her son, Clifford. Myra loved her family, friends, birds, cats, and dogs and enjoyed the company of all of these during her journey here on earth. Myra was a lifetime member of St. Luke Methodist Church. She will be remembered as an ever pleasant and kind person who showed love to everyone she met.

Myra is survived by an only son, Clifford William Marshall (Nancy) of Lancaster.

The family is thankful for the support and care provided by the staff of Agape Hospice. The family will be forever grateful to the in-home caregivers that loved them and cared for Myra throughout the journey. They include Donna Craig, Louise Pressley, Jamie Carpenter, Crystal Terry, Doris Sims, Lisa Prosser, Breanna Cook, Diane Foster, Pat Bragdon, and Emily Lackey.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00am on Monday, October 20, 2025, at St. Luke Methodist Church, 128 Providence Road, Lancaster. Visitation will be in the welcome center at the church from 10:15-11:00.

Memorial gifts may be made to St. Luke Methodist Church, 128 Providence Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.
