Myra Nita Terry entered into eternal life on November 4, 2025 in Panama City, FL. She was born in Florala, AL on November 9, 1933 and graduated from Wewahitchka High School.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Delano Terry, with whom she traveled during his 21 years in the Air Force. Myra was a huge support to her husband during his involvement with the Masons and Shriners Hospital. The women's organizations, Order of Eastern Star and Daughters of the Nile, were also a huge part of her life. Her hobbies included softball, bowling, camping, fishing, crafting, quilting and playing canasta. Myra retired from the Bay County School System after 22 years as the Lunchroom Manager of Springfield Elementary School.
She is survived by her daughters, Phyllis Boshae (George) and Myra Brazell (William); as well as grandchildren, Charlene Kevin, Marissa Costales, Matthew Strickland (Tasha), Kim Moseley (Robert), Justin Van Wart (Mindy), Kevin Strickland, Julie Mayberger (Sam), Katie Bell (Wade) and Bobby Brazell (Jennifer); 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will take place on Monday, November 10, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, with Rev. Jack Hankins officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. before the service at the funeral home. Interment will immediately follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Matthew, Justin, Kevin, Bobby and grandsons-in-law, Sam and Wade.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shaddai Shrine Transportation Fund, (850) 763-6090, for the children and parents who are served by Shriners Children's Hospitals.
Myra will be remembered as a sweet, special, precious lady as well as a pistol ball with a strong personality. She loved her family and friends fiercely with a heartfelt and powerful intensity and will be greatly missed.
