Okeechobee – Myrna Lee Turner died October 25, 2024. She was a long-time Okeechobee Native and of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed singing and playing the ukulele, designing and crafting church banners, sewing, gem mining, and thrift shopping.
Mrs. Turner was preceded in death by her parents, Morise and Eunice Drawdy Thomas; sister, Patricia Thomas Godwin; and husbands, Jim R. Browning and Ira Mason.
She is survived by her husband, John P. Turner, of Hudson, Florida; daughters, Kim Browning, of Sebring, Florida, Kay Browning Worlock, of Branford, Florida, Laurie Browning, of Tallahassee, Florida, Laura Taylor, of Hudson, Florida, and Carolyn McCoy, of Thonotosassa, Florida; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and sister, Rowena Parkerson, of Abbeville, South Carolina.
Graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at Basinger Cemetery.
