Myron P. Dirks, age 64 of Coleridge, Nebraska died on Friday, March 28, 2025 at his residence.
A Celebration of Life service is planned for Saturday, June 14, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Hartington, Nebraska with the Rev. Marilyn Hasemann officiating. Lunch will be provided. Since we know dad had a sweet tooth we would like to ask people to bring a dessert (bars, cookies, cake, brownies, etc.) Private burial of his cremated remains will be at Lawn Ridge Cemetery in rural Coleridge. The family will receive friends and relative one hour prior to services at the KC Hall. Arrangements are under the direction of the Wintz Funeral Home in Hartington.
Myron Phil was born on August 5, 1960 in Wayne, Nebraska to Myron “Mike” Duane and Phyllis June (Koester) Dirks. He grew up in Dixon and Laurel before graduating from Coleridge High School in 1978. After high school he began farming with his dad and eventually took over the farming operation. Myron did some trucking also during this time.
Myron loved Harley Davidson motorcycles and had several over the years. He liked to fish and go to auctions.
Myron is survived by his five children Mandy (Brian) Zessin of Madison, Tonya Dirks & Casey Kraulik of Rapid City, SD, Nicole (Troy) Bottolfsen of Hartington, Jessy (Shay) Dirks of Elgin, Collin Dirks & Caitlyn Hale of Omaha, 11 grandchildren Alyssa, Whitney, Wyatt, Jocelyn, Athena, Odin, Eros, Keegan, Levi, Cooper, and Willow; one great grandchild Arlo; mother of Myron’s children Donna Oslund of Madison, NE; four sisters Claudet Wege of Coleridge, Vee Lage of Laurel, Carla (Mike) Jensen of Beemer, Terri (Roger) Maxon of Greenwood, NE; many nieces and nephews.
Myron was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; and aunts and uncles.
