Angier, NC: Mrs. Myrtle McLamb McGee, age 92, 1210 Greenleaf Rd. died Sunday morning at her residence. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Friendship Baptist Church in Angier. Officiating will be Dr. Billy Cashwell. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. McGee was born May 13, 1928 in Johnston County to the late Luther and Anelia Hargroves McLamb. She was preceded in death by her husband, R.Z. McGee; brothers and sisters, Carlie B. McLamb, Alvin McLamb, Odia McLamb, Eula Groves, Gertrude Corbett. Vada Taylor, Peg Harrelson; grandchildren, Wendy Johnson Murdock, Sarah Diane Ennis. Mrs. McGee was a homemaker and member of Friendship Baptist Church.
Surviving are her Daughters and Spouses, Diane and Clinton Prairie of Clayton, Kathy Johnson of Benson, Judy Adams of Clayton, Trudy and Lavon Ennis of Angier, Jennifer McGee of Angier; 10 Grandchildren; 15 Great-Grandchildren; brother, Larry McLamb and wife, Gail of Benson; several special Nieces and Nephews.
Mrs. McGee will be available for viewing and you may sign the register book on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 from 12:00PM to 5:00PM at the Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson. The family will not be present during this time.
Family will receive friends from 12:30PM to 1:30PM Wednesday, April 7, 2021 prior to the service at the church and other times at the home.
Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to American Alzheimer’s Association, 5171 Glenwood Avenue, Suite 101 Raleigh, NC 27612.
In accordance with NC-COVID-19 guidelines, the funeral home suggests practicing social distancing and the three W's: wait, wash, and wear a face covering. Masks are required for all services.
