Nadean Nellie (Evans) Peavey was born October 21, 1937, in Montauk, Missouri to Luther and Nellie (Norris) Evans. She grew up in Salem and graduated from Salem High School. After high school, Nadean went to beauty school and received her cosmetology certificate.
On May 16, 1972, Nadean was united in marriage to the love of her life, William Joseph Peavey. She was blessed with three children: Donnie, Glenda, and Bill. Nadean was a loving wife and caring mother. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy. She cherished her family and treasured the time they spent together.
Nadean was a talented beautician. She was owner/operator of Nadean's Beauty Shop for forty years. Nadean valued her clients and enjoyed visiting with them. When she wasn't working, she liked to sew and crochet. In her spare time, she loved spending time with her fur baby Annie.
Nadean departed this life March 28, 2023, in Salem, Missouri at the age of eighty-five years. Those left behind to treasure her memory, her loving children: Donnie Gray and wife Donna Lynn of Salem, MO, Glenda (Gray) Bollinger of Salem, MO, and Bill Peavey of Kansas City, MO; four grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; extended family and dear friends.
Preceding her in death, loving husband: William Peavey; parents: Luther and Nellie Evans; and great-granddaughter: Kennedy Bollinger.
Nadean was a lady of great faith. Her sweet and gentle spirit will be remembered by everyone who knew and loved her. Nadean will be forever missed.
Funeral Services for Nadean Nellie (Evans) Peavey were held Monday, April 3, 2023, in the Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Pastor Lyndell Decker officiating. Song selection played was "Amazing Grace". Burial was in the Carty Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Wilson Mortuary of Salem, Missouri.
