Obituary of Nadine Hillson
Nadine Hillson, age 73, of Tampa, Florida, entered peaceful rest on Sunday, November 20, 2022 at Tampa General Hospital, Florida.
Nadine was born on March 5, 1949 in Derby, CT and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Nadia Gido of Seymour, CT. She graduated from Seymour High School in 1967 and National Louis University in 1999 with a degree in Applied Behavioral Sciences. She worked as a surgical technician at Yale–New Haven Hospital in Connecticut and, most recently, at Tampa General Hospital, where she had a "perfect attendance" record for over thirty-five years before retiring in August 2022.
She enjoyed swimming, socializing with her many friends, and spending time with her grandchildren. Her incredible kindness, infinite generosity, and infectious sense of humor will be missed by all who knew her.
Nadine is survived by her son Greg Hillson, his wife Courtney, and their children Ethan, Harper, and Jacob of Alexandria, VA, as well as by her younger son Brian Hillson, his wife Tasha, and their son Kayson of Bristol, TN. She is also survived by her brother Joseph Gido of Wayne, PA. She is joined in heaven with her first son, "Little Johnny," who passed away in 1970 when he was two years old.
Burial services will be in the spring of 2023 in Oak Cliff Cemetery in Derby, CT. Miller-Ward Funeral Home, in Seymour, CT, is in charge of arrangements.
