Ms. Nancy Olive Dougherty, age 86, of Temple passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2025. She was born in Decatur, Georgia on October 13, 1939. Ms. Dougherty was the daughter of the late, Daniel Dougherty, Jr. and the late, Olive (Morgan) Dougherty.
Ms. Dougherty was an animal lover and enjoyed working on her farm. She enjoyed working in her garden, crafts, riding and raising horses with Arabian horses being her specialty. Nancy was also an avid traveler, visiting destinations all over the world some of which include, Egypt, Europe, Greece, South and Central America. In addition to her career in farming, Ms. Dougherty earned her master’s degree in psychology from West Georgia College. Above all, Nancy loved her family, and she will be dearly missed.
Left to cherish her memory are her two sons and one daughter-in-law, Roger and Carole Pittman of Winston, and Morgan Pittman of Temple; her brother, Dan Dougherty of Golden, Colorado; her grandchildren, Phillip Pittman of Carrollton and Margaret Stringer and her husband, Jamie of Villa Rica. Ms. Dougherty is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Scarlett, Violett, Henry, Penelope, and a number of other relatives.
In accordance with Ms. Dougherty‘s wishes, she will be cremated.
