Nancy Erickson

ERICKSON, Nancy J. (Age 69) peacefully entered into rest on July 24, 2025. Born on April 5, 1956, in San Diego, CA, Nancy was the eldest daughter of Delbert "Swede" and Eunice Erickson. Her younger sister, Terrie, soon joined the family, and together they spent 16 years in San Diego while Swede was stationed there with the Navy. The family later settled in Spokane, WA, where Nancy attended Shadle Park High School. She married Mike Norman in 1976, and together they were blessed with two sons, Chris and Jon.
In 1989, Nancy relocated to Okanogan and planted roots in the community she would grow to love. She married Jeff Delfeld, and with him came her stepson, Pat Delfeld, whom she welcomed into her life with open arms. Nancy began working for the school transportation department in 1996. She spent many years holding a second job at the local JCPenney-earning more than just a wardrobe for her children and grandchildren, but also lasting friendships. She later retired from JCPenney, followed by her retirement from North Omak Elementary School, where she was a trusted presence in the front office for a decade.
For the past 22 years, Nancy and her significant other, Dave Covey, have shared countless wonderful memories, quickly becoming integral
parts of each other's families. Nancy will be remembered always for her joyful and kind spirit, her nurturing advice, and the deep love she radiated to all who knew her.
She is survived by her longtime partner, Dave Covey; her mother, Eunice Erickson; her sons, Chris Norman (Ashley), Jon Norman, her sister, Terrie Stratton; grandchildren Christian Norman (Ashley), Ryleigh Norman, and Opal Norman; great-grandchild Liam Norman; and nephews Brad Stratton (Katie) and Tyler Stratton (Kyle).
Nancy was preceded in death by her father, Swede Erickson, and her brother-in-law, Tony Almond.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M., on Friday, August 1, 2025, at River Valley Funeral and Cremation, 2547 Elmway, Okanogan, WA 98840.
