Graveside services for Nancy Greif, 90, of Chandler, TX are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at Rock Hill Cemetery, 10768 County Road 3405, Brownsboro, TX 75756.
Mrs. Greif passed away on Friday, April 4, 2024, in Tyler, TX.
Nancy Jean (Mannon) Greif was born on September 5, 1934, in Ringoes, NJ. She was the daughter of Winfred Barnes Mannon and Dorothy Mae (Britton) Mannon. Nancy graduated from Flemington High School in Flemington, NJ, where she was voted "Best Mannered" by her peers, a title she cherished. During her time in New Jersey, Nancy was a longtime member of the Flemington Baptist Church. She worked at Parker Insurance Company in Flemington and served as the head secretary at Hunterdon Central Regional High School for twenty years. Nancy had a deep love for music and enjoyed singing in the choir. Her hobbies included sewing, gardening, avid reading, and traveling, especially to Cape Cod. Nancy was a polite and sweet soul, and she will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives she touched. She and her late husband moved to Tyler, Texas in 2016 to spend more time with their children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Milton Joseph “Bud” Greif; and by her brother, Robert Mannon.
Survivors include her children, Lisa Foster and husband Jack of Chandler, TX, Brian Scott and wife Linda of Texas City, TX, and Peter Greif and wife Cheryl of Frisco, TX; her siblings, Dottie Murdock of Tinton Falls, NJ, Marge Yard of Stockton, NJ, Judy Johnson and husband John, Sr. of Flemington, NJ, and Bruce Mannon and wife Hollie of Easton, PA; 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.
