Nancy Guenther Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Inc. - Lansdale on Oct. 17, 2023.
Nancy Anderman Guenther, 74, passed away at her home in Harleysville on Wednesday, October 4, 2023.
Born in East Stroudsberg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Carl and Eleanor Anderman.
Nancy graduated from Frankford High School in Philadelphia, and later went on to receive her bachelors in American Studies at Lycoming College. She earned both her Masters degrees at Drexel University.
She published the book United States Supreme Court decisions: an index to excerpts, reprints, and discussions.
Nancy was an active member of Walk to Emmaus, and active in Christ United Methodist Church of Lansdale. She was a former member of Marshallton United Methodist Church as well. She ran her own business as a freelance indexer after many years working as a research librarian at Montgomery County Community College. In her free time, Nancy loved making crafts, knitting and photography.
Nancy is survived by her three children, Andrew, Christine, and Katherine Guenther; grandchildren Casey and Nathan Guenther; and siblings Deborah Manuel and Rev. Timothy Anderman. She loved God, her children and grandchildren, and the Philadelphia Phillies.
The celebration of life service for Nancy Guenther has been scheduled for 11am October 21st at Christ United Methodist Church of Lansdale, 1020 S Valley Forge Rd, Lansdale, PA 19446 with lunch to follow. The livestream for the service can be found at: https://www.facebook.com/ChristUMCFunerals
We have spent the last three and a half years trying to make sure our mom didn't get COVID. Out of respect for other immunocompromised people and in honor of those we've lost, we would like to avoid the spread of disease at my mom's service. We do ask that everyone wear a mask. If that's something anyone is uncomfortable with for any reason, there will be a livestream of her service available.
In lieu of flowers she requested donations be made to Heeding God's Call to End Gun Violence: https://www.heedinggodscall.org/
As the service is a celebration of her life, she has asked that everyone wear bright colors instead of anything somber, but please wear whatever you would feel most comfortable in.
