Nancy S. (Anderson) Jones, 72, of Brockton, passed peacefully into eternal rest on Monday, November 3, 2025, at her home, surrounded by the love that defined her beautiful life.
Born and raised in Brockton, Nancy was the cherished daughter of the late Jean L. (Robinson) Sullivan and Paul Sullivan. A proud graduate of Brockton High School, she remained a lifelong resident of the city she adored, planting deep roots and blooming where she was planted.
Nancy lived a life radiant with love. She was the heart of her family—an extraordinary mother, grandmother (“Grammy”), sister, and friend whose warmth, kindness, and infectious laugh touched everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her home was always open, her table always full and overflowing with the cookies, pies, and homemade treats she baked with such joy, and her hugs always ready. She was a truly wonderful baker whose kitchen smelled of sugar and love, and whose creations brought smiles to generations of family and friends.
Whether she was shaping clay into works of art in her beloved pottery classes, strolling along a favorite walking path, planning the next adventure, or cheering at the slots in Foxwoods or Plainridge, Nancy embraced every moment with joy and gratitude. Her travels to Bermuda and Aruba left her with sun-kissed memories she recounted with sparkling eyes and a smile that could light up any room.
Above all, Nancy cherished time with her family and friends—holiday gatherings that spilled over with laughter, impromptu visits that stretched into hours, and quiet moments watching her grandchildren grow. Those precious times were the true treasures of her life.
She leaves behind a legacy of love carried on by her devoted children, Mark Jones and his wife Nicole of Bridgewater, John P. Jones and his wife Jennifer of Rockland, and Leslie Jones of Brockton; her adored grandchildren, Samantha, Ella, Aiden, Brennan, Connor, and Isabella, who were the great delight of her later years; and her dear sister, Paula Bonazzoli of Swampscott. She was predeceased by her beloved daughter, Stacy L. Jones, and her brother, Robert Sullivan, both of whom she now rejoins with open arms.
Nancy’s family finds comfort knowing she is at peace, reunited with those she loved and missed so dearly.
Funeral services were held privately, in keeping with her wishes.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests simply hugging your loved ones a little tighter—and maybe baking their favorite treat—because that’s exactly what Nancy would do.
Rest in eternal peace, dear Nancy. Your love and the taste of your perfect chocolate chip cookies will live in our hearts forever.
