Nancy Marnita Juhas
10/15/1948 – 01/09/2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nancy Juhas, a beloved mother, grandmother,
sister, aunt, cousin and friend, who left this world surrounded by the love she so selflessly shared
throughout her life. Nancy's warmth, generosity, and kindness touched the lives of all who had the
privilege of knowing her.
Nancy was preceded in death by her mother Nita and her father Robert. She is survived by her devoted
biological daughters, Bree and Heather, her daughter by loving choice, Gabrielle, her sister Sandy, and
her cherished granddaughters, Bella and Elleanna. Her family was her greatest joy, and she poured her
heart into ensuring each of them felt deeply loved and supported. In her own words: "Families are like a
beautiful patchwork quilt - with colors of connectedness, threads of thoughtfulness and patterns of
perpetuity, all woven together in an intrinsic, delicate design that creates a continuum of comfort."
She will always be remembered as a sweet, incredibly generous, and loving soul to her loved ones. She
gave everything she had to those in need–whether it was her time, her laughter, her wisdom, or simply her
presence. She was a beacon of light, offering kind words and extraordinary advice that left a lasting
impression on everyone she met. Her ability to listen deeply, laugh easily, and share love freely was a gift
to all who knew her.
She grew up in Decatur, Illinois, in a household filled with the love of music. This led to her first
profession as a talented vocalist. Throughout her young adulthood in
Lansing, Michigan, she was a
member of local bands, such as Chesapeake Bay, Soundchaser, Sistah, Aris, and Jammer. When she
couldn't wear her Stevie Nicks boots on stage anymore, she pivoted to a career as a Private
Investigator. She was the first female investigator her firm hired. Her career as a Private Investigator
satisfied her insatiable curiosity and dedication to justice. Her cases were notorious for verging on the
side of theatrical with her mother eagerly accompanying her on surveillance. They were two peas in a
pod, keeping each other entertained as they ferreted out false disability claims.
Nancy's impact will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who loved her. She will be cremated
and a memorial service will be announced in the spring, when her life and legacy will be celebrated with
the love and laughter she inspired. Her habit of circling us with love when we drove away continues as
we share her parting words, "Surrounding you in love, light and protection
