Veronica Juhas Obituary
Veronica attended catholic school in Astoria and then moved to Bayside, Long Island and graduated from Queens College where she majored in education. She worked as an elementary school teacher and even taught in Chile, South America for a time.
She married Louis Anton Juhas (deceased) and they moved to Packanack Lake, New Jersey where they had 3 children, Catherine, an attorney in Charleston, Diane, a paralegal (deceased) and William, a building contractor (deceased). Later they moved to Manhasset, Long Island and then to Raleigh, North Carolina where she worked as a real estate broker. Once retired, she moved to The Meadows in Sarasota, Florida.
Veronica had two sisters, Ann Harte of West Palm Beach, Florida and Loretta Scheuermann of Sarasota, Florida (deceased). She also had 2 nieces, Alison Shenberg and Lauren Vazquez, and two nephews, Craig Harte and Ryan Scheuermann.
Her passions in life were making clothes, watercolor painting, golf, tennis and ballroom dancing. Veronica also traveled extensively in Europe and the U.S. during her retirement.
Donations may be made to Tidewell Hospice.
