Nancy E. Lantz, 71, passed away at home in the arms of her husband on September 30, 2023, after a long 20 year battle with cancer. She was born on August 9, 1952, to the late Earl and Charlotte (Miller) Goodman in Lebanon, Pennsylvania.
Nancy is survived by her loving husband, Lee of 42 years along with her children Christian and Micah and daughter-in-love Brittney Booth. She is also survived by sisters Carol (Ira) Barrows and Lois (Don) Kickbush along with brother Tom (Kathy) Goodman.
Nancy grew up in Lebanon PA and attended Cedar Crest High School. She got a BA in Christian education from The Kings College, NY. For several years Nancy worked in a Christian bookstore. Then Nancy went to work for Faith Venture Visuals traveling the country to train pastors and CE directors on how to best use the new technology of the day (overhead projectors).
Nancy met Lee Lantz in the summer of 1980. They were married on April 18th, 1981. After getting married and moving to Dallas, Tx. Nancy was hired by Willis Towers Watson to be an admin in the Risk Management department where she worked for 7 years. After adopting their first child she quit to be a stay-at-home mom.
Nancy loved her family and did all she could for them. She enjoyed serving God through her local church. She loved music and it was a passion of hers. She was part of a singing group called Relative Sound in her college days which traveled the East coast singing at churches. She enjoyed going to the Ocean City, NJ shore in the summer. She loved traveling and was able to go to Asia, Europe and the Caribbean. She enjoyed sports and followed both Michigan and Pennsylvania teams. She also loved lighthouses and pandas and traveled the country to see them.
Nancy's family had a graveside service on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at Jones Cemetery, Lansing Ave, Jackson, MI at 2PM. There will be a celebration of life on October 14, 2023, at 11:30 AM at Community Bible Church, Brighton and a visitation from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM. with Pastor Steve Baker officiating. In lieu of flowers you can make donations to the Nancy Lantz Memorial Fund at the church which will go to the Hands of Hope Cancer Outreach program that helps minister to those who are going through cancer.
