Nancy Elizabeth Lowe Royalty, 88, widow of Bobby Gene Royalty, Sr., died Saturday, October 11, 2025 at her residence. Born July 4, 1937 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Clifford and Ruth Muse Lowe. She was retired, having worked at both Johnathan Logan and Mercer Dress; was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church where she was also a member of the Esther's Sisters Sunday School Class, and was an avid pianist having started a family ministry with James B. Haggin Extended Care and The Willows for fifteen years. Nancy was also an avid reader, and fan of UK Sports and NBA Basketball.
Survivors include her children: Bobby G. (Virginia) Royalty, Jr. of Nicholasville, Marsha Gay (Gary) Erwin of Lexington, Terrell Allen (Sandy) Royalty of Harrodsburg, Darryl G. (Charlotte) Royalty of Harrodsburg, and Gary W. (Marsha) Royalty of Burgin; one brother Leland (Nancy) Lowe of Lake Suzy, FL, one sister Dianna Sue Lowe (and the late David) Easton of Warsaw, KY, and one sister-in-law Margaret Lowe of Harrodsburg; fourteen grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by one brother Larry Lowe.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home with Harold Best and Andy Mikels officiating. Burial will be in Burgin Memorial Gardens with T.J. Royalty, Robert Royalty, Lauren Royalty, Tanner Royalty, Chase Erwin, Seth Royalty, Rebecca Royalty, Amber Franchesci, Chelsea Moir, and Kristy Robison serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Tuesday and after 7:00 a.m. Wednesday at Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Gideons International, P.O. Box 176, Harrodsburg, KY 40330.
