Nancy was born October 20, 1942, in Jersey City, NJ. She was raised in Chatham, NJ, with her sister Judy by their parents George and Margaret Bustard. On October 11, 2024, Nancy passed away peacefully at home with both her sister Judy Goodman and daughter Judy Briggs holding her and with her beloved dog Charlie lying next to her.
Nancy and Bob MacDonald (deceased) lived in several places but settled in Simsbury, CT where they raised their 3 children - Rob (deceased), Judy and Doug. Nancy is also survived by her daughter-in-law Annette Macdonald, brother-in-law Allan Goodman, her nephew Andy Goodman and his wife Jessica Smith and their new baby Betty, and her 2 grandchildren Brent Pella, Christine Gomez and her great-granddaughter Amalee.
Nancy and Bob moved to Stamford, CT and then on to Florida. They purchased their home in the Naples Lakes Country Club in 2011. Nancy was a high school English teacher in Simsbury and then moved into real estate where she was a Vice President of Coldwell Banker in the CT region and then ultimately became the manager of the Coldwell Banker office on 5th Avenue in Naples.
After she retired, she was very active in the community. She was the chairman of the Facilities committee, played with the Ladies 9-hole group, and actively supported the Home Base drive. She also enjoyed getting together with neighbors for dinner and lunches.
Private funeral arrangements have been made and she will be buried in Chatham, NJ in a family plot. In memory of Nancy and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of Naples where Nancy adopted Charlie.
