Nancy Sharon Morello

Nancy Sharon Morello passed away on Thursday, November 7th, 2024, at home surrounded by her family. Nancy battled pancreatic cancer for over 2 years, but it never stopped her from loving life, inspiring others, and giving the best hugs.
Nancy, the beloved wife for 36 years of Timothy Paul Morello, was born in Hartford on December 31, 1955, daughter of the late George and Phyllis (Johnson) Wolk, she was raised in Windsor Locks and was a graduate of Windsor Locks High School, Class of 1974.
Nancy moved to Stafford Springs in 1988 and had lived in Somers since 1996. She had a couple careers, but the most fulfilling was working as a paraprofessional specializing in reading and speech at West Stafford Elementary School for many years. After retiring, Nancy became interested in quilting, and over the course of a decade has made dozens of beautiful quilts for family and friends.
She was a parishioner of All Saints Church in Somers.
In addition to her husband Tim, she leaves a son, Anthony Brian Morello of Warren, VT; two grandchildren, Crosby and Percy Morello both of Warren, VT; two sisters, Shirley Stonewall and her husband Ronald of Brighton, MI and Donna Marks of Salisbury, NC; two brothers-in-law, Michael Morello of Windsor Locks and William Morello and his wife Viennie of Windsor; and a dear friend/second-mom, Harriett Levesque of Somers. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Stephen Wolk and George Wolk, Jr.; and by her precious Yellow Lab Kipper who is now playing fetch with her in heaven.
At Nancy's request, her family will have private services at the Nicholson & Carmon Funeral Home, 443 East Street North, Suffield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at All Saints Church, 25 School St., Somersville.
