Nancy Ruth Nevins

Nancy was born to Percy and Mary Ellis Welsh on May 2, 1945 in Kansas City MO. She had 1 sister Mary Elizabeth Centimano (nee Welsh) She is the mother to 5 children, Melissa Ann Gary and Deborah Denise Gary from her first marriage to Kenneth Gary, and three from her second marriage to Oscar L. Cross, Oscar Jr, Johanna Kathleen, and John Samuel IV.
She has 10 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, mother and father and her eldest child Melissa. She was an avid reader, sewer, and quilter having learned quilting and sewing from her grandmother Ruth Bledsoe. She painted rather prolifically in the 70s and 80s creating many artworks that decorated her homes for years. Later in life, she rededicated her life to the faith which she was raised in, becoming an ordained deacon in the Episcopal church. She Married Stanley Z. Nevins Dec 28, 1990 and they remained married till his passing in 2017.
