Nancy E. Sattely

Nancy Elizabeth (nee Fahey) Sattely, 87, gently passed away surrounded by her loving family on November 12, 2023. Born in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth Fahey who made their home in Inkerman, Pennsylvania. Nancy attended Misericordia University, Dallas, Pennsylvania and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in teaching. While employed, she met her future husband, James. After Nancy and James married, they resided in New Milford and later, Upper Saddle River, New Jersey. Nancy was a housewife and focused on raising her cherished son, James, Jr. A devout Catholic, she was a parishioner of Saint Joseph Church in Oradell and later, Church of the Presentation in Upper Saddle River. Nancy was an enthusiastic reader and also enjoyed all forms of crossword puzzles, game shows and watching the Catholic Mass on television. She cherished spending time with her grandchildren and was delighted to be part of all their life events.
Nancy was predeceased by her husband James and siblings John and Joseph Fahey. She is survived by her devoted son, the Hon. James X. Sattely, Jr., P.J.Cr., and daughter-in-law Maris of Oradell, her adoring grandchildren Elizabeth, Catherine and Caroline, a sister, Katherine Addonizio and her faithful companion, Bella. Visitation is at Volk Leber Funeral Home, 268 Kinderkamack Road, Oradell, New Jersey on Friday, November 17, 2023 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. A private funeral service will be held Saturday November 18th 10 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Saint Joseph's Cemetery, Hackensack where she will be laid to rest next to her cherished husband James.
