Nancy Lee Stella, of Morganville, NJ, a beacon of warmth and love, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2025, at the age of 65, in Edison, NJ, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on June 24, 1959, in Jersey City, NJ, Nancy was a cherished soul who brought joy and friendship to all who knew her.
Nancy's life was one of devotion and care, as she embraced the roles of loving wife to her husband of 25 years, Robert Stella, and nurturing mother to her son, Nicholas Stella. Her family was the centerpiece of her life, and she extended her love to include Leah Schaffer, her mother; George Gallehue and John Schmalberger, her brothers; Jack Stella, her brother-in-law; and Michael, her beloved nephew, along with countless friends who considered her family.
Before dedicating her life to her family, Nancy worked at Western Electric and later served as a corporate secretary at Pinnacle Materials, where she was respected for her professionalism and warm, engaging personality. She was a woman of many interests and had a talent for making lasting connections in every facet of her life.
Nancy's love for social activities was well-known, and she could often be found playing Bingo, with her many friends. She had a gift for making new acquaintances feel like old friends. Nancy was the heart of the Stella household, hosting memorable Christmas Eve and Christmas Day dinners and Sunday breakfasts that became cherished traditions for family.
Her home was not only a hub of festivities but also a sanctuary for her loyal dog, Lily Anna and sweet cat, Caramel. The unconditional love she gave and received from her furry companions was a testament to her caring nature.
Nancy will be remembered as a woman who was loving, loyal, and friendly. Her ability to connect with people from all walks of life, her infectious smile, and her generous spirit made her a beloved figure in her community.
The legacy Nancy leaves behind is one of love, laughter, and the importance of family. She was a precious gift to all who had the privilege of knowing her, and her spirit will continue to inspire those she has left behind.
As we bid farewell to Nancy Lee Stella, we celebrate a life lived with grace, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to the ones she loved. Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were touched by her extraordinary presence.
