Nancy Jane Stout

Nancy Jane Stout, age 86, of Sunbury, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Columbus, Ohio on January 22, 1939, to the late Noah Salyers and Myrtle (Stambaugh) Salyers.
Nancy married the love of her life, Joseph "Joe" Stout on March 26, 1955, at Olive Green Church of Christ in Chistian Union. Together they shared 69 wonderful years of marriage.
Nancy worked in an administration role for many years at Century Martial Arts Supply. She was also a proud member of the Aladdin Group Knights International Lamp Lighters Guild. Her collecting interests varied from Aladdin lamps and many kinds of dolls to collecting every size and style of donkey that she and her friends and family could find to add to her unique collection.
For the past 33 years, Nancy was a devoted member of the Olive Green Church of Christ in Christian Union. She loved the Lord and displayed that love by giving her time, affection, and resources to many causes and people in her life. Many of her family members referred to her as "Sweet Aunt Jane" because of her kind and generous nature. Nancy was a special lady who will never be forgotten and truly will be deeply loved and missed by all who were blessed to know her.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Randy Stout of Johnstown, Ohio; daughter, Tammy (Jim) Smoke of Marengo, Ohio; grandchildren, Joshua Stout and Ryan Smoke; great-grandchildren, Zoey Stout and Bastian Smoke; daughter-in-law, Beth Owens; granddaughter-in-law, Christen Stankiewicz; brother, John Salyers; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Nancy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joe Stout; parents, Noah and Myrtle Salyers; brothers, Randall, William, and Sam Salyers; sisters, Alma Andrix, Marie Reynolds, and Patricia Salyers; and half-brother, Bob Salyers.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2025, from 4:00 P.M. – 6:00 P.M. at Olive Green Church of Christ in Christian Union, 12375 Olive Green Road, Sunbury, Ohio 43074 with Visitation at the Church the following day Friday, December 19, 2025, from 12:30 P.M. – 1:00 P.M. with a Funeral Service beginning at 1:00 P.M. Graveside prayers and burial will follow at Stark Cemetery, Sunbury, Ohio. Rev. Robert Whightsel officiating.
