Nancy Tompkins Obituary

Nancy grew up in Elmhurst, Illinois and graduated from York High School. She attended Lake Forest College where she earned her BA in English and met the love of her life, Bob Tompkins (1938-2024). They married in 1960 and built a beautiful life together with five children, twenty grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
They traveled the world making wonderful, life-long friends. Nancy was happiest in her home in the quiet little village of Golf where she lived for sixty years; she also cherished her time in their special little spot in Grand Cayman. Nancy was a teacher, a dedicated wife, and a loving mother and grandmother. We will remember her strong will, her witty sense of humor, and her abundant love and support of her family.
We're going to miss her desperately, but are at peace knowing she is reunited with her beloved husband Bob.
A private family interment was held on May 15, 2025 at Memorial Park Cemetery.
