Nancy Ann Twigg, age 86 of Fremont, passed away on Monday afternoon, December 16, 2024. She was born on October 1, 1938 in Muskegon, Michigan to Ben & Violet (Merriman) VanZanten. Nancy was a school bus driver for Fremont Public Schools, and she was a member of Church of the Living Christ in Fremont where she enjoyed going to bible studies. She also enjoyed crafting, quilting, scrapbooking, & basket weaving. Nancy was an outgoing, friendly person and she loved to volunteer at the Gerber Hospital Gift Shop. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Twigg, on January 31, 2000. Nancy was also preceded in death by her grandson Joseph Wallace, and by her sister Carol Frens. She is survived by her children: Jimmy (Ninajo) Wallace, Jr., Jerry Wallace, Jeff (Sandi) Wallace, Jody (Tim) Hooker, Jim (Renee) Twigg, Jerry Twigg, Colleen (Chris) Walthers, Julie Kraley, Jane (Gordy) Balcom; 24 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great granddaughter; and by her brother, Bernie VanZanten. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 20, 2024 at Church of the Living Christ in Fremont with Pastor Dan Ackerman officiating. Interment will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Fremont. Visitation will also be at the church from 10-11 AM on Friday. Suggested Memorial: Bellwether Harbor.
