A much-beloved life-partner, mom, nana, and sister, Nancy Jean (Skvarla) Wilberg, 76, of Satellite Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, with her family present. She was born on September 12, 1948, in Hartford, Connecticut, to Edward Alexander Skvarla and Vesta Jean (Davis) Skvarla, both of whom predeceased her.
After she was born, she lived in England and then Sacramento, California, before spending the last 45 years as a resident of Satellite Beach, Florida. Nancy graduated in 1965 from Highlands High School in North Highlands, California. She then earned her degree in Early Childhood Education at Sacramento State College and went on to work as an Art Specialist. She advanced to become the Arts and Crafts Director for the United States Air Force Civil Service until her retirement in 2011.
She is survived by her life-partner, Robert Lee Hallett, of Satellite Beach, Florida; her only daughter, Melissa Jean (Wilberg) Devitt (married to Brian Devitt), of Clermont, Florida; her two grandsons, Andrew Michael Devitt and Colin Patrick Devitt; her brother, Mark Alexander Skvarla, of Carmichael, California; and her sister, Marcia Lynn (Skvarla) O'Hagan, of Roseville, California. In addition, she is survived by many nieces and nephews whom she adored.
