Nancy Kent Young

Nancy Kent Young, 65, passed away peacefully at her Hawkinsville, Georgia home on June 19, 2025. A visitation will begin at 1:30 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at Broad Street Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Blake Westbrook. In honor of Nancy, attendees are kindly requested to wear pink or pastel colors.

Nancy was a devoted member of Oaks Community Church and a retired University of Georgia employee. Passionate about gardening, she earned the title of master gardener. She cherished her grandchildren, playing the piano, and singing. Nancy served 12 years on the Board of Education and was a dedicated member of the Pulaski County Christian Learning Center Board. She was predeceased by her parents, James and Murielene Kent.

She leaves behind her loving husband, Tim Young; son, Kent Young (Allison) and their children, Liam, Ellie, and Reid; daughters, Angela Thornton (Michael) and their children, Nora, James, and Adam, and Christina Capelle and her children, Hunter and Hattie; as well as family members Patrick Gordon, Tracy, and Jan Marshall.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pulaski County Christian Learning Center. Flowers are also welcome.
